I am Puneet Saraswat, final year student of Applied Geophysics (5 year course) at Indian School of Mines Dhanbad. Recently one of my research paper was accepted for a talk at SEG 81st Annual Meeting San Antonio, entitled “Artificial immune system based self organizing maps for seismic facies analysis”. This was the second opportunity for me to present my work in front of a global community of geoscientists. SPG NA extended their helping hand and support, for me to attend this very important convention for geophysicists. Financial help is always appreciated but what were more appreciating about SPG NA are the moral enthusiasm, support and homely environment I experienced in an alien city. SPG NA as a whole has always endeavored to uplift the status of Indian geoscience students, in terms of knowledge, resources, exposure and many more and a shining example of this is reflected directly from the web arena of SPG NA. Eminent personalities and members of SPG NA like Dr. Mrinal K. Sen, Dr. Subhasish Mallick, Dhananjay sir, Abhijit sir and many more have always been a source of inspiration and motivation for me. Their support and help is invaluable.
I feel blessed for
being a part of this community and I am sure the help I received from SPG NA
will be extended to many budding geoscientists from India and I personally
advice students to work hard and there are wonderful people to help you. This
is a point of no return and is not the end yet, rather a beginning. I will be
always progressive to go beyond my capabilities and take the torch that SPG NA
has lit towards new ventures and possibilities. By the means of this
testimonial I would like to thank SPG NA once again for helping me and others
in every possible way to nurture our talents and nourish the hidden spark
within us.
I congratulate SPG NA
for every successful seed that has been laid for a productive future and convey
my best wishes to continue the good work for students and the society as a
whole
