    Testimonials:-

  1. I am Vishal Das a student of pre-final year of Integrated MSc (Tech) in Applied Geophysics at the Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad, India. One of my research work was selected for poster presentation at the 80th SEG Annual Meet, Denver, USA. It was a massive opportunity for me to present my work in front of the international fraternity of Geophysicists and others. SPG-NA chapter helped me grab this rare opportunity by providing me with partial funds to cover my expense towards attending the conference. It not only helped me financially but also supported me morally to look for other avenues for attending the conference. Had it not been this support I would have never been able to present my poster successfully and attend the SEG Meet.
The members of SPG-NA have always been a constant source of inspiration for me in all my endeavors. From the knowledgeable guidance of Mrinal Sir to the friendly advices of Dhananjay and Abhijit Sir, all the members have constantly motivated me to pursue my works. Even before I had actually met them, I could look forward to them for any kind of suggestions whether it is any technical queries or general queries. Now, after I attended the last SPG-NA meeting at Denver, I could feel the family that the group has in itself and how they take time out of their busy schedules to help students like me in our pursuits.
Words can in no way be able to describe the kind of support that I have received from the members of SPG-NA. Yet, through this testimonial, I would like to thank the SPG-NA family for been such a support. I would also like to suggest all students to approach SPGNA for their valuable suggestion. I am sure that they will be of great help to you in your career.
I hope that SPG-NA will continue ushering its best wishes for students and help us in reaching pinnacles of glory and success in our lives!!!

  3. I would like to thank you wholeheartedly for the financial support that will be provided by the SPG-NA chapter for my visit to San Francisco to attend the AGU Fall meeting 2010. I am extremely eager to attend the meeting. I see this as a major source of inspiration and a great opportunity to interact with researchers from both academia and industry. Without your support, it would not be possible for me to attend the meeting.

    Thanking you.

  4. I am Puneet Saraswat, final year student of Applied Geophysics (5 year course) at Indian School of Mines Dhanbad. Recently one of my research paper was accepted for a talk at SEG 81st Annual Meeting San Antonio, entitled “Artificial immune system based self organizing maps for seismic facies analysis”. This was the second opportunity for me to present my work in front of a global community of geoscientists. SPG NA extended their helping hand and support, for me to attend this very important convention for geophysicists. Financial help is always appreciated but what were more appreciating about SPG NA are the moral enthusiasm, support and homely environment I experienced in an alien city. SPG NA as a whole has always endeavored to uplift the status of Indian geoscience students, in terms of knowledge, resources, exposure and many more and a shining example of this is reflected directly from the web arena of SPG NA. Eminent personalities and members of SPG NA like Dr. Mrinal K. Sen, Dr. Subhasish Mallick, Dhananjay sir, Abhijit sir and many more have always been a source of inspiration and motivation for me. Their support and help is invaluable.

I feel blessed for being a part of this community and I am sure the help I received from SPG NA will be extended to many budding geoscientists from India and I personally advice students to work hard and there are wonderful people to help you. This is a point of no return and is not the end yet, rather a beginning. I will be always progressive to go beyond my capabilities and take the torch that SPG NA has lit towards new ventures and possibilities. By the means of this testimonial I would like to thank SPG NA once again for helping me and others in every possible way to nurture our talents and nourish the hidden spark within us.

I congratulate SPG NA for every successful seed that has been laid for a productive future and convey my best wishes to continue the good work for students and the society as a whole
